Viña Castellano – Our new TEMPORARY Normal

The safety of our visitors, communities, employees and their families is the number one priority of Viña Castellano and the Placer Wine Trail community during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Governor Newsom has recommended the closure of bars, pubs and wineries in California to help curtail the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

We are monitoring State actions, Federal Guidelines and guidance from the California Wine Institute, who is working closely with the Governor’s office to implement recommendations to reduce the exposure and spread of the disease by limiting visitor access to winery tasting rooms for purchase and pick up only, intensifying cleaning and sanitation procedures and following the guidance of the CDC and California Department of Health.

At Viña Castellano we will be operating in the following manner:

  • Wine Purchases online or by phone. The easiest way to order is by calling directly at (530) 305-3731. Free Delivery within 20 miles of winery for six bottles or more. We are running a buy 5, get 6th bottle free deal this week.
  • We will be open from 12 – 5pm – By Appointment for curbside pickup, using a GO Payment app where we will have an employee meet you at your car and we will email you your receipt. (Think about the ole school carhop days). Just pop your trunk, sign the screen and your off.
  • Must call ahead for orders – we want to service you in an expedited fashion and keep as few employees on schedule as possible.

*Most wineries are still open for operation at this time and wine may be purchased by phone or online from winery websites and most are offering curbside pickup.

The Placer County Vintners Association will continue to monitor and provide updates on the situation on this page.

*Check back for updates on how Viña Castellano adjusts our operation and check the Placer Wine Trail page to see how other member wineries are adjusting their individual operations.
